October 20th 22. Crazy times. By the time you read this we'll have a new Prime Minister, or two, the way things are going. Sandringham was OK, the weather was kind but it wasn't September. It took a while to get going but in the end receipts were comparable. Hard to tell what effect the economic climate is having but we stayed in Kings Lynn. a lovely old town centre and the pubs and restaurants were full and busy enough.
In Peterborough this weekend at the East of England showground for Crafting Live, where coachloads from all over disembark to plunder the place for craft materials, and of course, cutlery jewellery.

September '22 last week. Just had an excellent weekend at Rockingham Castle. The last three years have set no standard to compare but suffice to say Rockingham took practically the same as last year 2021. The best news is that the suspended Sandringham Game & Country Fair is back on 15-16 September.
Mid September 22.
A strange time with the sad loss of The Queen. The leaves are starting to go brown, we have a new King and a new PM. Sandringham was naturally cancelled and we don't yet know if it'll be rescheduled this year. There seems to be no lack of enthusiasm for our products so fingers crossed with the capping of energy bills we won't get the double blow, crazy bills and our customers' loss of spending money. The list above includes some great places to visit. We meet some lovely people, traders and customers both and still folk who have never seen a fork bracelet or ring..

It's July 22. Rishi Sunak and Sajid David, along with others nobody heard of, have resigned. So has Boris. Update, down to Truss and Sunak.
The Fork Emporium has done 17 events this year and we still meet folk who approach our stall who are surprised and pleased to discover us. We spent last weekend in Spalding Sessions House and then lovely old Kimbolton House. If there's a recession, nobody told them. British people moan more about hot summer weather than cold December. We are invited to have a small corner of an eclectic Art shop in Raunds and hope to return to Grantham. Ever on, ever upward. 12 or more events to go including Sandringham, Peterborough Cathedral and Southwell Minster, again.

Our upcycled cutlery jewellery comes wrapped like this in a brown recycled large letter size box. They have a small history card ( if I can find out anything about the pieces), a General Info and Thank You card.
Welcome to the Fork Emporium news page for 2022. To see what's gone on before News 2021 may be of interest. This is early January, cold and grey and the days are still short. Quiet time for events and fairs but they accelerate as the year goes on. The donkeys Walter & Timothy down in Devon are our mascots again as usual and you can see them here if you browse a bit. See Events 2022 above or click Events
Not all cutlery becomes Jewellery. The Victorians had cutlery for everything. The snail shell for dipping snails into garlic for example and the lobster spike on the right adjacent to the sardine fork.
4th May 2022
Haven't a great deal of news. As mentioned the first three months are quiet recovery time. We have done four or five events including Bourne Town Hall, Lincoln Big Craft Event, Lamport Hall and Chester House. Chester House is on again this weekend as well as Stamford Food & Garden Fair on Stamford Meadows.

Isn’t January flying by ? My work fits well in to this challenge , recycling, upcycled, repurposed are all words I use daily . All the cutlery we use was made between 1880 -1950’s and basically has all become redundant, lots of it just thrown away. I try to find a use for all of it , handles are bracelets and angels , earrings and key rings; teaspoon bowls Christmas decorations. The more worn out pieces become pictures, wind chimes, hooks and my chandelier/ hanging things .
Since joining #tbch I have met @littledorisdesigns and sent some of my fork ends to be made into their lovely cheese markers . Check out #littledoris products and packaging for gold standard eco friendly !
Finally if anything is left it will go to the scrap metal man and undergo a mysterious process when they separate different metals … alchemy!
My packages go in recycled cardboard boxes. There are a few ways I could improve, always working on that , we compost, collect rainwater and recycle as much as we can .
We've been doing this sort of thing long before Greta was born, long before the fork emporium and we're definitely not hippies or eco warriors.
